Samuel Herbert Maw

1881-1952

Samuel Herbert Maw was born in Needham Market, Suffolk, England.  After receiving his R.I.B.A. in 1912, he immigrated to Canada. Once here, he lived in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. During the course of his lifetime, he frequently exhibited his etchings and paintings.

  • Maw studied architecture in Brittain, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland
